MoAD Participates in Museums with Pride

This past Sunday Museum of the African Diaspora marched  in the 2017 SF Pride Parade alongside an alliance of Bay Area museums. Museums with Pride was established in 2012 by the Contemporary Jewish Museum, working to create a network of museums and  arts organizations to show  support during Pride.

MoAD community members and employees, beside other participating museums, marched down Market in celebration of the LGBTQ community. In addition, this year MoAD was joined by  Global Street Dance Masquerade, an interdisciplinary dance performance group who ignited energy in marchers and the crowd. MoAD community members could also be spotted in our special edition Pride T-Shirts. Come join in on the fun next year & Happy Pride!
