Kwani Trust, East Africa's most prestigious literary journal, will be launching two of its latest publications at Museum of the African Diaspora. This will include the novel Dust by Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor and the latest Kwani journal on East Africa diaspora experiences.

Yvonne Owuor will read from Dust and have a public conversation with Sarah Ladipo Manyika. Kwani Editor Billy Kahora will then join the two writers to introduce and talk about the latest Kwani journal.

Yvonne A Owuor is a Kenyan writer based in Nairobi. She won the Caine Prize For African Literature in 2003. Her debut novel Dust was recently shortlisted for the Folio Prize.

Billy Kahora is the Editor of Kwani. He has edited 6 Kwani journals. As a writer he has been shortlisted twice for the Caine Prize and written the True Story of David Munyakei and two films, Soul Boy and Nairobi Half-Life.

Sarah Ladipo Manyika was raised in Nigeria and has lived in Kenya, France, and England. Sarah's first novel, In Dependence, is published by Legend Press and she is Editor of Pulsations, The Journal of New African Writing.
