About

Every Thursday at 5pm during Portraits and Other Likenesses from SFMOMA, join us for Community Voices: A Public Dialogue, when a creative thinker from the Bay Area cultural community will reflect on the exhibition’s themes of identity, representation, space and diaspora and how these themes inspire their own practice. The talks take place in the galleries for a maximum of 30 minutes.

Lady Blue & Six Foota, Models in the Mickalene Thomas photographs Sista Sista Lady Blue and Lovely Six Foota

Tenika, aka Lady Blue, was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. With ten plus years in the entertainment industry Lady Blue has been noted for her great works. Her published works include everything from books, calendars, magazines and websites as a full figure model.

"Foota", as she is affectionately called in the modeling community has organized, trained, hosted and performed in over 56 fashion shows and has been published twelve times since 2006. While she still keeps a hand in local events, her passion is strongest when working with inner city youth and for her community.

Her most prized accomplishment, however, is becoming a mother to her 1-year old daughter, Genesis. She is also a published model.
