About

Enjoy Free Admission to our exhibitions, Where Is Here, A Matter of Fact: Toyin Ojih Odutola, Nyame Brown: Classroom in Nevérÿon, and Urban Africa: David Adjaye's Photographic Survey, as MoAD joins the Contemporary Jewish Museum, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and the California Historical Society for Art, Drink, & Be Merry! Third Thursdays in Yerba Buena.

Join us at 6:30pm in the MoAD Salon for a groundbreaking look at the lives of African American girls by a powerful advocate, Monique W. Morris, author of Pushout: The Criminalization of Black Girls in School. Ms. Morris will be in conversation with Nzingha Dugas, recently appointed to lead the Oakland Unified School District’s new initiative, the African American Girls and Young Women Achievement Program.

Be sure to pick up a sticker at MoAD for special Third Thursday all-night happy hours at participating bars and restaurants. The third Thursday of each month in downtown San Francisco’s Yerba Buena neighborhood will be a monthly outing full of arts, food, and drink! Wander the blocks around Yerba Buena Gardens to soak in art and music.
