Belva Davis is an award-winning journalist with over three decades of television experience and has provided leadership in the creation of the Museum of the African Diaspora. Charged with raising $5 million in one year Ms. Davis was the first elected President of
the Board of Directors of the Museum of the African
Diaspora.

Dr. Ernest Bates is a Board certified neurosurgeon and founder of American Shared Hospital Services, a publicly traded healthcare company. Dr. Bates was the MoAD Capital Campaign Chair and is a Board Member of the
Museum of the African Diaspora.

Ann & Gordon Getty
Active in numerous philanthropic endeavors the Gettys actively support the mission of the Leakey Foundation whose mission is to increase scientific knowledge and public understanding of human origins, evolution, behavior and survival. Gordon Getty is the Chair of the Board of the Leakey Foundation which provides grants to many of the seminal studies that inform our understanding of human prehistory. The mission and support of the Gettys and the Leakey Foundation aligns with the mission and goals of MoAD.
