About

In this hands-on workshop using current research and video clips  Dr. Briscoe-Smith will assist teachers in navigating how children understand race and how our communications (verbal, non verbal, implicit, explicit) impact our children’s understandings of race.  We will begin a conversation on implicit bias and how it operates, and how bias impacts education.

Educators will receive a framework for thinking  about how they’d like to talk about race with their students (setting personal as well as classroom goals).  It takes a village: A child has the best ability to become healthy adults if the entire community takes an active role in contributing to the rearing of the child.

A non-refundable $5 fee saves your spot for what will surely be a learning and sharing experience for all.  Spaces are limited.
