About

Join us in celebration of Andrew Wilson's new Emerging Artists exhibition, Equivalencies: Abandoned Bodies.

There will be a curated selection of poets performing, wine flowing, and the artist will be on hand to discuss his work.

Equivalencies: Abandoned Bodies explores the ways in which we remember people in relationship to their physical space and objects associated with their bodies and memories. I want to think about the consumable Black body in terms of economics, pleasure, labor and sexual potential.

How do we remember the unnamed?
Those without graves?
Those who still walk the floor of the Atlantic?
Those whose names roll off our tongues so sweetly?

Please register at Eventbrite. Space is limited.
