MoAD’s 2025 Annual Report reflects a transformative year for the museum as we celebrated our 20th anniversary, reopened following facility upgrades, and launched a bold new chapter with UNBOUND: Art, Blackness & the Universe. Throughout the year, MoAD deepened its commitment to placing the contemporary art and artists of the African Diaspora at the center of the global cultural conversation through bold exhibitions, expanded public programs, and the continued growth of Nexus: SF/Bay Area Black Art Week.
