‍Our Featured Artist: Samuel Getachew

Samuel Getachew is a 17-year-old poet and writer from Oakland, CA. He is the 2019 Oakland Youth Poet Laureate and a 2020 National Youth Poet Laureate finalist, as well as a three time Youth Speaks Teen Poetry Slam Champion. His work has been published in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and more.
