OPEN MIC THURSDAYS continue. Because we remain closed due to the global pandemic COVID-19, we will host our Open Mic online via ZOOM. Because we had such an awesome first virtual open mic, we will bring them to you TWICE per month instead of once.

Look for MoAD Open Mic this month on the FIRST & THIRD THURSDAYS during the closure. Because we love MoAD and MoAD loves you!

Our Featured Artist:

Darius Simpson

Darius Simpson is a writer, educator, performance artist, disruptor, and skilled living room dancer from Akron, Ohio. He received his BA in Political Science from Eastern Michigan University. He is a candidate for his MFA in Creative Writing-Poetry from Mills College.

His work is featured on platforms such as Huffington Post, Mic, TEDx, Button Poetry, as well as others. Darius aims for a more liberated self through writing in order to work toward building a more liberated society through his life.
