This summer, we invite Bay Area students from grades 10, 11, and 12 who are interested in pursuing careers in art making to join a 5-week summer program. The program is designed to empower youths of the African Diaspora to explore visual art making as a sustainable career path.
The youth are paid $18/hour, plus a transportation stipend. The entire program will occur between July 11, 2023, and August 11, 2023, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and one Friday from 11:30 am - 3:30 pm. Work is completed in person with a culmination event at the Museum of the African Diaspora.
