Art As We See It | The 1900 Paris Exposition and The Representation of African American Women
In this week’s Art As We See It, MoAD Docents look at the marvelous images compiled by W. E. B. Du Bois for the 1900 Paris Exposition. They have searched the albums and selected photographs and documents that represent and celebrate the lives and the achievements of African American women in that era. They invite you to join their conversation via chat as they discuss esthetics, cultural context, and the historical significance of the collection.
