In conjunction with the exhibition Portraits and Likenesses from SFMOMA, this workshop will examine how artists within the African Diaspora have redefined the notion of portraiture featuring artworks from the SFMOMA collection. Teachers will tour the exhibition, explore online resources for integrating the themes and works of the exhibition into their classrooms, and participate in a hands-on activity.
