About
Join us at The East Oakland Youth Development Centre for the launch of our latest volume in the oral history project I've Known Rivers.
What are the seldom heard intergenerational stories between Black men that shape our collective history and sense of community? How can they engage our social, political, and intellectual worldview?
Join us as we launch the latest volume of I’ve Known Rivers with a new website/ online collection and a unique series of public performances, film screenings, and town hall forums at churches and community centers.
From celebrating the stories of a 115 year-old black man living in Oakland to the spoken word musings of young black men reinventing themselves, this is an event not to be missed!
