MoAD Mix: Cowfolk and the Black Rodeo
Saddle up for a bold and engaging evening as MoAD Mix: A Spirited Discussion on Art & Culture returns with "Cowfolk and the Black Rodeo," a dynamic conversation at the intersection of photography, history, and Black cultural legacy. Artist and photographer Tricia Turner and Key Jo Lee, MoAD's Chief of Curatorial Affairs and Public Programs, join us for a discussion inspired by Turner's powerful book, Black Rodeo. Together, we'll explore the past and present of the Black rodeo tradition, highlighting Turner's photographic work that captures the beauty, skill, and community within this enduring cultural practice.
Featuring a curated playlist and a Western-themed cocktail and mocktail pairing, this evening brings art, history, and rhythm together in true MoAD style. Join us as we celebrate the longevity and brilliance of Black Cowfolk--on the page, in the arena, and through the lens.
MoAD Mix: A Spirited Discussion on Art & Culture is a refreshing re-imagination of Art As We See It.
Once you register for the program, you will receive an acknowledgement email with the zoom link and drink recipes. If you don't receive this email, please check your junk mail or spam folder.
