During the month of August, fifteen individuals and families who live, work, or have a personal connection to Bayview-Hunter’s Point neighborhood participated in a photography work-shop with acclaimed Bay Area photographer Bryon Malik. After the workshop, Bryon took each participant’s photograph. Though small in scale, the portraits in this exhibition illustrate the diverse experiences of the people who call the Bayview home.

The portraits will be on view in this space for one month. Afterward, the participants will be given their professional studio portraits to take home.
