Welcome back! MoAD Members are invited to Members Only Preview Day on October 20th to see the Fall 2021 exhibitions, participate in artist talks and more - before we open to the public.

With renovations complete to our lobby, theater, and gallery spaces, the highly anticipated reopening features a line-up of original exhibitions including first-time solo museum exhibitions of work by two of Africa’s most important contemporary artists working on the international stage today—Ghanian painter Amoako Boafo and Malawi-born, Johannesburg-based artist Billie Zangewa. In addition, a site-specific installation by San Francisco-based artist Sam Vernon in its newly redesigned lobby; the work of San Francisco multimedia artist Sydney Cain as part of its Emerging Artist Program; and a presentation of short films by contemporary African artists curated by Leila Weefur in its newly upgraded theater.

Register for your free member tickets to visit the amazing new exhibitions any time between 11AM and 3PM on October 20th. Tickets are limited to 2 per member and based on availability.  You will need to log-in to access tickets.

For the health and safety of everyone, advance tickets are required and available in time blocks (11AM - 3PM or 4PM - 8PM). These tickets do NOT include access to the artist talks.
